Abstract

A clinical report illustrating hazards of the long-used lasso technique that is now being replaced by bonding and other less invasive methods for accelerating and guiding the eruption of impacted cuspids.

Dr. Kuftinec is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Orthodontics, School of Dentistry, University of Louisville. He is a graduate (Stom. Dr.) of the Medical School, University of Zagreb, Yugoslavia, and of the Harvard School of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.). He holds a doctorate in Nutritional Biochemistry and Metabolism (Sc.D.) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and orthodontic education from the Forsyth Dental Center and Harvard School of Dental Medicine
