First of all I would like to appreciate the authors' effort on conducting this very interesting case report. But it raised vague points looking for clarification:
-
All pre- and post-treatment extraoral photographs and lateral view cephalograms must be taken with the lips in relaxed position?
-
What about the interlabial jab, lip position and gingival display during maximum smiling before and after treatment? On the other hand, what about the degree of upper incisor teeth intrusion after treatment and effects on the line of occlusion and occlusion?
-
What about having FMA of 32.3 degrees on the prognosis of orthodontic treatment?
-
What about the effects of the extraction of maxillary left second premolar and second molar on the occlusion on that side, which ended with the occlusion of upper first premolar, first molar and third molar against lower first premolar, first molar and second molar?
-
Is the approach of a case like this by the author a type of camouflaging treatment, and what about the long-term stability of occlusion?
-
Gummy smile is multifactorial in this respect I would like to ask the authors if they compare their cephalometric measurements with that of the Japanese norm? The Japanese have an especial facial pattern and we have to respect their psychosomatic norm in approaching them surgically or orthodontically.
