I would like to congratulate the authors of this article. It raises interesting issues regarding the relationship between malocclusion and quality of life, and how these affect orthodontic treatment. The assessment of OHRQoL has an important role to play in clinical practice. However, the patients' age, gender and economic class may affect the patients' responses to the questionnaire. In the paper, it was stated that most of the patients were from a high socioeconomic status. Were low socioeconomic status patients purposely excluded from the study? I think including patients from all socioeconomic statuses would better represent the general population of children in Saudi Arabia.
